This Hamper has been created for those who love Middle Eastern or Indian flavours and we’ve certainly packed a punch her for fabulous ingredients. You don’t have to be an expert in the Kitchen either as the Heavenly Bites Cook Book will guide anyone to conjure up some fantastic dishes for sure.

We bring you flavours from Palestine with Zaytoun. Zaytoun products are fairly traded and sourced from Palestinian farmers, and their Za’atar is a beautiful aromatic blend of herbs and seeds famously used across the Middle East. Za’atar is traditionally eaten as a dip with olive oil and bread or used to season meat, fish or roasted vegetables.

Zaytoun Maftoul or maftool (‘hand-rolled’) is also a traditional Palestinian grain made from bulgur and whole wheat flour, and is like a larger or ‘giant’ couscous.  Women prepare it today just as their grandmothers have always done, working together to crack, hand-roll and dry the organic wheat in the Palestinian sun.

Mymouné sumac is made from pure, sundried wild sumac berries. The bright red sumac berries are crushed to make a coarse powder and used as a spice in Arabian, Turkish & Lebanese cuisine. Add a lemony and zesty touch to fish, chicken, salads and vegetable, sprinkle on eggs, stir into rice or use in marinades.

Saveur Du Maroc Argan oil is a nutty and nutrient-packed plant oil cold-pressed from the seeds of the Argania Spinosa tree. Reflecting the dedication of their craftswomen, No.1 Ardent Artisan is an entirely hand-produced oil. This culinary oil is unique to the UK and boasts greater bioavailability of its active nutrients. With its high concentration of vitamin E, Argan oil is also consumed to nourish skin, hair and nails.

We also had to add the Saveur Du Maroc Harissa, simply because of its amazing taste! Harissa is a fiery combination of hot red chillies, piquant preserved lemons and cold-pressed olive oil. A robust relish for burgers and sandwiches. A marvellous marinade for meat, poultry, fish and seafood. Stirred through yoghurt or mayonnaise, Harissa adds a fine flourish to any savoury dish. In Morocco, Harissa is a celebrated accompaniment to couscous and fish tagine.

For that special Indian touch we’ve added Mahbir premium quality Saffron, which can be used many dishes from around the world. Whether you want to make an Indian dessert, spanish Paella or add to a special couscous dish, with light floral and earthy tasting notes, saffron is a fragrant and versatile spice that can be used in both sweet and savoury dishes.

Finally a bestseller from last year and back again is out quirky wooden spoon which is perfectly suited for this hamper. The back of the spoon is engraved with; ‘yes you can lick the spoon…’ and  then the spoon handles finishes the sentence with ‘…but don’t forget to say Bismillah!’
